Powder coating gives consumers, businesses, and industries one of the most color-durable finished available on virtually any type of metal. It is also an economical long lasting finish. Powder coated surfaces are more resistant to wear, chipping ,scratching, and fading. color selection is unlimited with varieties of flat, satin, gloss, high gloss, metallic, candies, clear, irridescent, fluorescent, wrinkle, hammer, and glitter finishes. Texture selections range from smooth surfaces to wrinkled or matte finishes, and rough textures designed for hiding surface imperfections. Powder coat colors remain bright and vibrant longer.
WHY POWDER COATING
Powder coating is an advanced method of applying a protective or decorative finish to any type of metal used by the industry or consumer. Powder coating is a process in which a bare metal surface is cleaned, dried, and coated with a powder applied by a special electrostatic spray gun. The powder is held onto the part by static electricity. Very similar to dust on a TV screen. Once coated it is baked at approximately 400 degrees fahrenheit. The powder melts into a very hard, uniform and durable plastic coating with no porosity and does not fade. Powder coating offers a long lasting and superior finish over other paint processes. The excellent durability will help extend the life of a part. It is extremely beneficial for parts exposed to harsh conditions, such as moisture and chemicals. Powder coating does not use any toxic chemicals, therefore making the process environmentally friendly. Korr Powder Coating uses the latest technology in the industry. We believe in using only quality products to produce only quality results. Our company values our customers and takes pride in our products and services.
CLEAR COAT PROTECTION
Powder coating can also be used as a "clear coat" to protect metal without adding color. Examples are polished aluminum, stainless steel or brass items. Clear coating resists the natural oxidation that will occur from exposure to the elements. A clear coat can also be added on top of any color coat for extra
luster and depth.
